Animated family fun. Zac Efron, Danny DeVito and Ed Helms lead the voice cast of Chris Renaud (Despicable Me) and Kyle Balda’s adaptation of Dr Seuss’ typically quirky ecological parable. Young Ted Wiggins (voiced by Efron) is in love with environmentalist Audrey (Taylor Swift) and wants to give her a special gift. He thinks a real tree would be just the thing, but they live in Thneedville – a walled city where absolutely everything (except its citizens) is made from artificial materials. Undeterred, plucky Ted embarks on a quest to find his love token. Along the way, he discovers the stories of the Once-ler (Helms) – the rapacious entrepreneur responsible for devastating the forests around Thneedville; and the Lorax (DeVito) – the orange, bewhiskered guardian of the forest who proved so ineffectual. Can Ted succeed where the Lorax failed? And will he find a tree for Audrey?
