Ask A Policeman is a classic British comedy starring the peerless Will Hay in this sequel to Oh Mr Porter. Hay is the dummkopf Sgt Dudfoot, transferred to a sleepy rural village where it’s reckoned he’ll do least harm. Bored to bits, he concocts a cunning plan, along with his cronies Graham Moffatt and Moore Marriott, to instigate a crime wave in the otherwise peaceful village of Turnbottom Round (snicker, snicker). Needless to say, the smuggling ruse he dreams up gets horribly confused with (you’ve guessed it) a real smuggling gang. Laughs, gags and the usual array of behind-the-scenes talent make this a gleesome treat.
